Melanie Francis is a visual artist and gemologist whose work is deeply inspired by the Islamic world. Her paintings are a living practice, rich with color and symbolism, that translate historic ideas into contemporary expressions. Through her art, Melanie invites viewers to journey through stories and traditions, connecting past and present in a vibrant tapestry of meaning.
Sáasil Ichi Studio partnered with Melanie Francis to completely redesign her Squarespace website, focusing on enhancing functionality while infusing sophistication and movement into the design. Our goal was to create a digital space that reflects the depth and vibrancy of Melanie’s fine art, inspired by the rich heritage of the Islamic world.

New Features:
Sophisticated Design with Movement: A visually elegant design that captures the fluidity and dynamism of Melanie’s artistic practice. Subtle animations and transitions were incorporated to bring a sense of movement, echoing the flow of her brushstrokes and the stories her art tells.

Updated Branding: We refined Melanie’s branding to align with the sophistication and depth of her art. This included a new colour palette and typography that together create a cohesive and polished visual identity.
